What are the running costs?

Do the radiators need to be serviced?
No, our heaters require no maintenance just a wipe with a damp cloth.

Are Ducasa a new brand of heaters?
No, Ducasa was established in 1972 and is a market leader in Europe.

Do the heaters have a plug fitted?
No, although one can be fitted if you wish to plug them in - always consult an electrician.

Which side of heaters is the electric cable?
The cable enters the heater on the right hand side.

How long is the mains cable?
this varies slightly depending on which model but the minimum is 1m.

Do the radiators have to be installed by an electrician?
it is always best to consult an electrician to ensure the safe installation of any electrical appliance.

Do the heaters have a thermostat?
Yes, all Ducasa heaters are fitted with accurate thermostats.

Are the heaters portable?
No, all the Ducasa heaters on this site are wall mounted.

Can you use the heaters in a bathroom?
Ducasa radiators can be used in the bathroom but will depend on size and location - please consult your electrician. Our electric towel rails can be used in a bathroom.

What if I have a problem with my heater?
All Ducasa products are covered by a comprehensive two-year guarantee, in the unlikely event of a problem just contact us.

Are the heaters safe for the young and old?
The surface temperature of the heaters get no hotter than a traditional wet system radiators, however care should be always be taken.

How do the heaters work?
The radiators are filled with special fluid which is heated by an electrical element.

Can I programme the radiators?
The Avant DGP, Vitro and Colorado ranges all offer 24hr / 7 day programme facilities.

Does the glass get hot on the Vitro?
The glass does get hot but is safe to touch.

What are the radiators made from?
The electric towel rails are made from high quality steel with welded joints and the Ducasa radiators are made from cast aluminium.

Can I hang clothes on the heaters?
Clothes can be hung on the towel rails but should not be placed on the other Ducasa radiators.

Do I need to buy the Remote Programmer?
No, it is an optional extra but is very convenient.

How many remotes do I need?
One remote will programme all of your compatible electric heaters.

How accurate are the thermostats?
The thermostats are accurate to 0.3 of a degree.

Are the heaters cheaper to run than gas central heating?
Cheaper installation costs and no servicing often results in cheaper 'lifetime' costs.

Are the heaters tamper proof?
All Ducasa heaters except the Avant A have a tamper proof facility.

Can the towel radiator be timed to come on?
Yes, the electric towel rails can be controlled with the Ducasa remote programmer.

Do the sizes of the Richmond include the controller?
Yes.

Can the radiators be fitted to a plaster board wall?
Some of the electric radiators are quite heavy so it is best to fix the brackets to the stud work behind the plasterboard.

Are the heaters easy to hang on the wall?
Yes, very easy.
