The Richmond DPL is a programmable, high quality low profile aluminium radiator ideal for heating areas with low-level walls or for walkways where wall space is sometimes restricted or at a premium. Easy-to-install, the Richmond is fitted with simple-to-use electronic controls and a precise digital thermostat. The LCD screen indicates the set temperature, mode of operation and programme settings together with the time and day

The Richmond can be programmed to heat at either your desired comfort temperature, or at your desired set-back temperature for reduced running costs. Using the radiator in manual mode requires just the click of a button.

How many heaters will you need?

Your rooms need to be warm and comfortable all year round, so it is important to fit the correct size and number of heaters.

If your home is new, it may be possible to calculate the heat loss with U-values, which are a measure of insulation. It is then possible to calculate the wattage required, however it is still necessary to decide the best place for your heaters to be installed.

Most customers are unlikely to have the U-values for their home so we have put together the following guidelines to help decide which heaters to buy.

You must first work out the size of your room by measuring the length and width then multiply the two numbers.

When you know the size, simply choose the box below which best describes your room and multiple the size by the wattage required.

Example: 11.1m2 x 80w (new, well insulated) = 888w

Then you should choose the heater model and the wattage which best suits your requirements. It’s unlikely our heater wattages will match your requirements exactly, so always best to choose the next size up. All our heaters have thermostats which will switch off the heater when the room is warm enough, so running costs won’t increase.

How to place your order

When you have decided what model and size of heater is needed, select the quantity required and simply add it to your basket. Once you’ve finished shopping view your basket to check your order then click ‘Proceed to Checkout’.

You will need to enter your billing address and shipping address if different then click ‘Pay securely with SagePay’. You will then be taken to the SagePay website to enter your credit or debit card details.

We recognise that one of customers' major concerns is security during an online transaction. For your protection we have chosen SagePay to handle your payment.  To ensure that you are protected against online fraud they use state of the art security tools and techniques. With 26 million transactions processed each day you can rest assured your card details are safe and secure.

When payment has been made you will receive a payment confirmation email and be returned to our website. We will send you another email when we process your order and another when it’s despatched.

Delivery information

If you order your heater before 2pm, Monday to Friday and we will despatch the same day on a 24 hour service.

Standard deliveries are made Monday to Friday so if you order on a Friday, delivery would be on Monday. Order over the weekend and we will despatch on Monday for a Tuesday delivery.

You can have your heater delivered before noon, before 9am or on a Saturday, however there will be an additional charge. Please call us on 01603 897 608 for more details.

You will receive an email the day we despatch which gives you the option of re-arranging the delivery for a different day. If you supply a mobile number you will also receive a text telling you your heater has been loaded onto the van for delivery and advising you of a one hour delivery slot.

txtIf you are not at home for any reason when delivery is attempted, the driver will try to leave your heater with a neighbour. If your parcel is left with a neighbour or taken back to the depot, the driver will place a card through you door explaining what to do.

For your convenience we can deliver to your home, designated neighbour or your work address; however we cannot leave your heater without a signature.

Please Note: In some areas such as the Scottish Highlands delivery can take 48hrs. Things occasionally go wrong so we can’t guarantee the time it takes for deliveries but we can guarantee we do our best to ensure they arrive when expected. For deliveries to the islands please contact customer services.

Products

Does the heater need to be serviced at all?

No, because there are no moving parts. An occasional wipe with a cloth to the front and the back to keep the air vents free of dust should suffice.

Is radiant heat a new idea?

No, radiant heating products have been enjoyed for decades - open fires, traditional radiators and the sun all produce radiant heat.

Do the heaters come with a plug fitted?

The Sunburst and Sunrise are fitted with a plug. The other heaters are bare ended cable however a plug can be fitted if you wish - always consult an electrician.

How much do the heaters cost to run?

The approximate running cost for the Ducasa heaters depends on many factors but can be as low as 3p per hour.

Which side of the heater is the electrical cable?

The heater controls and cable are on the right-hand side.

What is the length of the electrical cable?

Lengths vary from model to model so if you need more accurate details please contact us.

Can the Ducasa heaters be mounted vertically?

No, the heaters can only be mounted horizontally.

Do the heaters have to be installed by an electrician?

No, if you can use basic tools and fit a plug, you can install the heaters yourself however it is always best to consult an electrician to ensure the safe installation of any electrical appliance if a plug is not fitted.

Can I put furniture in front of the heaters?

Yes, although you should allow at least 500mm of clear space between any furniture when using the radiant panel heaters.

Are the heaters thermostatically controlled?

Yes, the heaters are fitted with thermostats and frost protection as standard.

Are your heaters portable?

The Ducasa Sunburst can be used as a portable appliance or wall-mounted. The other Ducasa products are only wall mountable.

Are the heaters safe for children?

Our heaters are designed to get no hotter than a traditional central heating radiator, however care should always be taken with the young, old and infirm.

How many heaters do I need for my room?

As a guide, based on a modern well insulated property allow 80 to 100w of power for every square meter.

Can Ducasa heaters be programmed?

The Avant and Vitro can be programmed 24/7 independently or by using the optional Ducasa Programmer. The Richmond DPL has 24/7 programming incorporated into the control unit. The Sunburst can be programmed by using the DT1, available separately.

Is your website secure?

When will my card be charged?

Your payment will be processed immediately and you will receive email confirmation.

Can I order by telephone?

Yes, you can order and pay over the phone using your credit / debit card or by pro forma invoice.

Who will deliver my heater?

We use UK Mail or TNT to deliver all of our heaters.

When will my heater arrive?

Orders received by 2pm Monday to Friday will be despatched the same day on a 24hr weekday service; orders received after that time will be despatched the next day. Please note: UK mainland only, some areas such as the Scottish Highlands may take 48hrs.

What if I am not at home?

If you are not at home we can arrange delivery to a works address or neighbour if you tell us when you order.

How much is delivery?

Delivery is charged at £15.00 per heater. Orders of more than 4 heaters will be sent on a pallet. Pallet delivery is £64.26 and will be organised with you by telephone prior to despatch. There is no additional charge for programmers and controllers.

What if I don’t like the heater when it arrives?

We offer a 14-day no quibble guarantee. Just return the heater to us in its original condition and receive a full refund of your money.
